Welcome new staff 2020 - 2021

Mrs. King New third grade teacher
I grew up in Hurricane, Utah and taught in Washington County for 16 years before moving to Eastland.  I have been teaching in Dove Creek the last 2 years.  My husband and I love our small farm in Eastland and have been acquiring animals.  A year ago, we were invited to catch an emu in Kane County, and now it lives on our farm along with all of our other animals.  We have four kids: 3 of them are grown; we have a daughter that will be going into 7th grade.  In our spare time, my husband and I are performing musicians and (pre COVID-19) we play every weekend around Utah, Colorado, and Arizona.  I also teach private strings instruction to a handful of students.  I am very excited to start teaching at Blanding Elementary.  I am looking forward to a wonderful year with a wonderful staff and team.  Thank you for this opportunity!

I was born and raised in Blanding, Utah. I finished my schooling at BYU-Idaho in 2018 and have been working at Montezuma Creek Elementary School for the last two years in 3rd and 4th grade. I truly love teaching, and I learn so much every year! My hobbies include swimming, going to Lake Powell, anything outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. I am married to Payton Palmer (also born and raised in Blanding), and we are about to have a baby girl any day now!
I look forward to getting to know everyone at Blanding Elementary and being a part of the 1st grade team!
Thank you!
Ms. Reeve new fourth grade teacher
I was born and raised in Monticello, Utah. I went to Dixie State College to get my Associates and I graduated from Southern Utah University in 2016 with my Bachelors.  I started out at Tse’bii’nidzisgai Elementary School doing an internship and have taught there for the last four years. My team and I did something called looping with our students so I have taught both Fourth and Fifth grade. My hobbies include riding horses, fishing, and reading. I love teaching and I am excited to move to Blanding and be a part of the Blanding Elementary Team.
